3-Year-Old Curriculum
The 3-year-old curriculum is largely focused on social skills and learning to play cooperatively with others. For many children this is their first experience in a school setting and there is sometimes a lengthy adjustment period. We also work on small motor skills such as cutting, painting and writing with various instruments. And, of course, we review basic recognition of shapes, colors, numbers and letters in preparation for the 4-year-old program.

4-Year-Old Curriculum
The 4-year-old program stresses kindergarten readiness with strong emphasis on all the skills children need to be successful in a kindergarten classroom.
There are a variety of skills we work on during the year including the following:
            ▪letter and corresponding sound recognition
            ▪counting with one-to-one correspondence
            ▪sequencing and following patterns
▪ordering of objects from small to large and reverse
▪position concepts (above, below, over, under, etc.)
▪writing letters, numbers and first name
Little Angels
We also continuously give the children opportunities to follow multi-step directions, develop the stamina to sit and pay attention while a lesson is being given or a story is read, and develop the ability to work independently at learning centers.

The students are being good listeners as Mrs. Snyder holds up a
quilt on "Q" day.

The students listen and ask questions.
